Russian born and trained as an Earth scientist in the most prestigious university of her homecountry, Oksana traveled a large part of the world studying the relief and the paleo flora as a part of various archeology, geology, ecology and paleogeography research projects.
Oksana was always interested in natural health, including home births and natural upbringing of her children and writing journal articles pertaining to early childhood development. In 2010 she began a formal education in Naturopathy comprising herbology, homeopathy, advanced essential oils, nutrition, etc. and simultaneously completed the Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork program at Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education in Mount Pleasant, MI. Oksana is trained in Swedish and deep tissue massage, myofascial release, Craniosacral therapy, Pregnancy and baby massage, Lymphatic drain massage, hot stones, Reflexology, Energy work, and various neuromuscular facilitation techniques. She likes incorporating/interspersing them in her therapeutic routine for the greatest benefit of her clients.
Oksana approaches each therapeutic session creatively through the holistic view of the body, addressing in a systematic and mindful manner all the bodily functions and systems and taking into consideration the specific (age, occupation, life role, etc) and evolving wellness goals of each individual she is working with. Currently, she is completing her MS degree in Occupational Therapy.
